Michael Jackson's passing

The events of the past week and a half have affected me so incredibly. I am not a famous performing star, I"m not Britney or Justin, but Michael affected me like he touched so many around the world. I started dancing over 20 years ago, in the heyday of Michael's career. His music was inspirational to me as a child in dance class, as an adolescent on stage performing and as an adult in my home. My dance teachers introduced me to this muscial genius and to this day I still play Michael's music in my dance classes. The catchy melodies, permeating beats and infectiousness make it ideal for dancing and continue to inspire generations of dancers, and me! He was bigger than life itself, and there is nothing that can be said to heal my heart or make me believe that he has left us. Thank you Michael for all you have given the world and the legacy you have left. You told us that "You Are Not Alone", and we must always remember that.

I know alot of people will only remember Wacko Jacko, the man who was put on trial (figuratively and literally) for things that no one wants to remember or discuss. The reality of it is, that through all his trials, tribulations, the hell the media and the public and the haters put him through, he came out the other side stronger. His music is a testament to that! Even his most recent album "Invincible" which sold 10 million copies world wide (my house has 2 of those copies) showed how strong an artist he was! It hurts me that while the courts and the law have found him innocent, so many people still hurl the most hurtful insults. I know there are people in the world who are celebrating his death, people that are happy that this monster is gone. But we have lost such a legend, one of epic proportions, and no one in the world will ever be that big. Ever. I'll write more later. Time to go back to work.

"But you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone"
