I promised, as late as it is. Here are my photos for the Photo Scavenger Hunt as hosted by the lovely and talented Ashley at Ramblings and Photos by Ashley Sisk. While these were great words to inspire, I have been a little preoccupied this last week, and must admit these are not stellar shots.
I am going to put next week's words in my phone so I can capture pictures as I'm out and about!
1. GOLDEN
Our leaves haven't quite started turning yet, but this is close enough!
Just a hint of fall.
2. SMELL
I thought Ashley had a brilliant idea when she captured her bottle of perfume. There were a lot of ideas in my head for smell. My armpits, my feet, fresh laundry, Ty (I love how boys smell-yes I am a crazy person), Febreeze (ooh that would have been a good one!). Anywho, I'm a bit of a perfume whore. My stash includes (in box from left to right ) citrusy perfume from a perfumerie in Paris France, Tommy Girl (from my stint working at TH), Victoria's Secret Cashmere (jasmine and vanilla), Victoria's Secret Beach something or other (coconut and vanilla), Burberry Brit, Lacoste pour homme, Pink Sugar, LAMB, Stella McCartney (my favourite) and Kim Kardashian (smells like Hawaii)
3. FRUIT
I would have had an even better shot had I been able to access the contents of my fridge (I have an entire watermelon cut up in a Tupperware)....but my fridge is currently indisposed.... I'm not a big fruit eater, I prefer vegetables (give me brussle sprouts ANY DAY) but I am trying to make a conscious effort
4. SIMPLE
Ha ha, simple is not so simple to capture throught the lens. I bought this birdie at the Outlet's in Seattle (actually in Everett). I love her.
5. SPORTS
When I saw 'sports' as one of this week's options I was so excited! I knew this was the picture I was going to take. I thought about incorporating Ty's other equipment (bag, golf clubs, and bike) in the shot , I even tried a few, but this one was the winner. In case you're wondering, no there is not a faceless maniac living in my garage. This is a hockey tree. Ty uses it to dry his equipment between games. Granted it's so damp and humid in Vancouver I'm sure his stuff is never really dry. And if anyone's ever been near a hockey bag, you know this could have been the picture for smell too!
Thanks again Ashley!
I love participating in the photo challenge each week.
PS: stay tuned for a very big 'reveal' post in the coming week! It's what I've been working on and I can't wait to share it with all of you!

Great shots, I love your sports shot, funny.
And I recognise the kiwifruit in your fruit bowl, now renamed Zespri.
I was all ready to comment then you had to tease me with a big reveal. Ha! Anyways, I love your interpretations this week. I actually have a lot more perfume hiding around my bathroom (TJ Maxx makes it so easy with their super duper prices). Anyways, I love that you're participating and I'm glad you're having fun. Have a great week!
Lovely "simple". I'm all for unusual composition of a photograph and you have it there! :)
I love your golden photo! So beautiful!
I love the sports shot !!! I learn something new everyday.
