TODAY: LIP BALM!
What is it about women and lip balm?  I can't even count how many I have.  At least one for every purse I carry,  one I keep at my desk, one in my dance bag.....and others that are MIA!  And some people seem addicted to their lip balm.  The reason for that is that some poorly made lip balms contain ingredients that actually pull moisture out of your lips, thus making your lips feel drier causing you to reapply said lip balm!  It's a vicious cycle!

Today I'm reviewing Kiehl's Lip Balm #1

This is a clear lip balm with a low SPF that is nourishing and protective. It's unscented and unflavoured, so it's great for men too! The tube is also very unassuming, so no guy would mind carrying this around!
This lip balm contains  Octinoxate which is the active sunscreen agent.   It absorbs UV-B and UV-A rays from the sun, protecting the skin from damage. It is also used to reduce the appearance of scars.

Lanolin is used in this lip balm as well.  Lanolin is literally wool grease from sheep; it's a yellow waxy substance secreted by the sebaceous glandsLanolin's role is to protect the skin against the ravages of climate and the environment!

Additionally Kiehl's included wheat germ oil (high in Vitamin E  for keeping free radicals at bay, and keeping our lips looking young and plump!)  Finally there's aloe vera which helps soothe irritated and raw skin and has antibacterial and anti fungal properties!

I used this lip balm at the Olympics last year when I was out and about at outdoor events like the Men's Ski Jumping!  I might have been freezing, but my lips were saved!
Kiehl's also offers this amazing lip balm in other flavours
Vanilla, Coconut, Pear, Cranberry, Mint, & Mango.

It's sure to be a sweet treat!
